Meet Your Dental Team
Dr. Ngan Huynh grew up in BC and wanted to become a dentist from an early age. He completed an honours degree in human physiology at the University of British Columbia before joining the Faculty of Dentistry, also at UBC. As a dental student, he was President of the UBC Dental Undergraduate Society, won the Western Canada Dental Society Leadership Scholarship, and upon graduating, was recognized with the Prize for Excellence in Endodontics.
After graduating in 2005, Dr. Huynh worked in family dental practices in Coquitlam and Vancouver where he excelled at restorative dentistry. During this time, Dr. Huynh joined the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry as he became more interested in the aesthetic aspects of dentistry. In addition, Dr. Huynh was recognized for his ability to work with small children, and became part of the dental team at Vancouver Coastal Health, where he treated children between the ages of six months and 12 years.
In 2008, Dr. Huynh had the opportunity to join a dental practice in London, England. He chose to move to London to focus on honing his cosmetic dentistry skills in the world-class city. Dr. Huynh practiced in central London for three years, and during this time, trained with the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and took courses in Lumineers and Six Month Smiles. In 2011, Dr. Huynh and his family decided to return home to BC and settle in Victoria. Currently, Dr. Huynh practices family and cosmetic dentistry at Broad Street Dental Centre in downtown Victoria, BC. He excels in treating children and anxious patients and enjoys all aspects of dentistry, particularly cosmetic dentistry. In his spare time, Dr. Huynh enjoys photography and hiking around Victoria.
